Who We Are?

The late nineties saw a time when technology was progressing at a dizzying rate and its effects and penetration into the management realm overwhelming. The role of information was felt deeply and so was the concern for its management. In this context, whether it be the information technology professional or the manager, they needed to process the knowledge of both disciplines.

Perceiving this scenario, the Kantipur College of Management and Information Technology was established in August 2000 by a group of management educationists and IT Professionals with wide and long years of experience in the field of teaching and education management. Today KCMIT has gone down in the history of education as the first college of the Tribhuvan University to introduce and implement the Bachelor in Information Management program (BIM).

With a team of very co-operative and enthusiastic IT Experts, management educationists and dedicated Faculty the ball was set rolling. Our experience of implementing the BIM program,a growing demand for management graduates in the job market ,the commendable work of the faculty and the encouragement of the management team made us introduce the BBA program of Tribhuvan University in 2004. Possessing the essential requirements of quality education there was no looking back for KCMIT.

Both the programs BIM/BBA flourished here. After graduating many of our students went abroad to pursue their academic career further. KCMITians can be found in the USA,UK,Australia,Thailand and Japan. After the completion of their studies most of them are now doing extremely well in their respective fields .Those who remained here are also well placed in the domestic job market. It is both a matter of pleasure and pride to hear of their success stories.
